McMunn's English Shepherds
A LITTLE BIT ABOUT US
Our English Shepherd is an important member of our family. We are located in the tri-state area in Maryland, minutes from Pennsylvania and West Virginia. We purchased Guppy as a puppy from a farm in the midwest (Talken's English Shepherds). She comes from working farm parents and, although we have no livestock (yet), she is keeping us active with her agility and flyball training.
Guppy is registered with both the English Shepherd Club and the UKC. Her puppies will also be eligible for registration. Her hips have been OFC and PennHip tested and are good. She has been vet checked and DNA tested for other heritable traits and is clear. Contact me for copies of her health and/or registration papers.
We selected her mate - Miles to be compatible with her. He also has healthy hips and is cleared of genetic defects common in English Shepherds. He has a super friendly personality and has earned his Therapy Dog Certification. All puppies have had their first vet checkup, first round of vaccines and have been dewormed.
English Shepherds are a working breed of dogs. They are great at herding, protecting, and generally keeping order on the farm. They are a high energy breed, and because they are bred to be working dogs, they need a "job". This makes them great at agility, search & rescue, and as therapy dogs. They are sometimes referred to as "a child's shadow". When choosing a dog it is important to select a breed that is compatible for your lifestyle and needs. For more information on the English Shepherd breed, please visit the English Shepherd Club's website - www.englishshepherd.org.

McMunn's Princess Guppy
Guppy
Guppy was born on January 5th, 2017. She is a black tri-color English Shepherd with an Irish white collar and ticking (freckles) on her face and legs. She stands 23" tall and weighed 50 lbs at 24 months of age. She is registered with both the English Shepherd Club and the UKC. Her PennHip DI score is 0.37/0.35, OFA is good, and MDR1 is normal/normal (by pedigree). She tested genetically normal for Collie Eye Anomaly (CEA), Degenerative Myelopathy, and Progressive Retinal Atrophy/Progressive Rod-Cone Degeneration. She is very athletic and will play fetch until her human quits from exhaustion. She is active in agility and flyball classes but hasn't reached the competition level yet. She is very obedient and has received her Canine Good Citizen certification. Guppy is wary of strangers at first but quickly warms up to them. She is an affectionate, fun dog with a strong family bond. She is truly a "shadow" dog with us, always involved with whatever we are doing.
